Lots of people,lots of friends,family,extended family but it's beautiful to be alone.
To be alone does not mean to be lonely.
It means the mind is not influenced and contaminated by the society.
When you are alone,you should feel the peace within yourself,generated from within yourself.
Spending a few moments,with yourself,brings solace to The Soul,to The Traveler to The Earth.
We come,we live,we depart.
That's all,that's all,that's all the way to Life.
We are born,
We copulate,
We die.
That's all the way to Life.
So said the English poet.
Don't behave like a sheep as you are a lion.

Justice is attainment of that which is just.
Lots have been said,discussed,pondered over the attainment of that which s right,just
Social justice is the most prominent type of justice,that is in everyone's mind.We watch poor people and wonder about their living state in harsh circumstances.Hardly any basic needs(food,clothes,shelter)are being provided to them by the so called welfare state in India.
There are poor people,people below the poverty line,lower middle class people,who are existing in adverse atmosphere.
A poor,homeless woman in the civil lines,sleeps on the ground,lives on the footpath,helplessly, she is leading her life.
I want to question the local administration,the charity houses,the so called NGO's and myself as well that how long will she be denied social justice,her right to food,clothes and shelter!
I wonder!Will the PM Narender Modi notice such people!I wonder again!!!

The Birth
Jesus Christ's Birth,Thousands of years ago,is being celebrated globally today.Every year,on 25 December,millions of dollars are spend on the celebrations.People eat,drink and feel joyous.
There are gaieties in our house as well.We relish the cake and other eatables and have fun and the fun begins now,with my regular morning walks.
I' ll carry some eatables today to gift them to my less fortunate friends.
So Merry Christmas,Have lots of fun today.

For about ten odd years,a mentally challenged,poor and hapless woman has been residing in our residential area.Most of the time,she stood under a big Pakad tree,wearing shabby,dirty torn clothes.At times she stood nearly half naked.The people(mostly children and men) poked her.They passed vulgar comments.Once or twice,I thrashed those senseless people.
Yesterday,while I was on my morning walk,I saw that a rag picker was gifting her a few worthwhile items,he had sorted out of some dustbin.
Today.I saw them,sitting near some burning wood,as it's very cold over here.Are they a couple?
I Wonder!
I never liked cactus,but now I am trying to know it.Why only thorns?Why not flowers?

Faith is the investment,you have to make to earn friends.People earn money,to be wealthy,to lead a comfortable life.Do we have enough wealth?Are we satiated,happy,content,feeling blissful,joyous after acquiring enough wealth?
Midas,The King,wanted gold,lots and lots of gold.What made him realize the worthlessness of gold,after he received The Boon of The Midas Touch?His own daughter,his own kith and kin became a figure of gold!
To earn money is not a crime.To love money is.One has to be faithful,loving,affectionate,forgiving,helpful,humble.Friendship demands mutual understanding and love.
To sum up,invest in people.Earn relations,faithful people,who would be beside you in your hour of need,sorrow as well happiness.We are passing through difficult days,hard times.Let's be together,pray together,share joys and sorrows.Live a happy contented life as our visit to this planet may be cut short ,any time,anywhere!

We come from different family backgrounds,living and sharing lives since twenty four June nineteen seventy seven,knowing each other since November ,nine hundred and seventy three.We know each other for almost forty one years.

The Relations
The relations,or relatives give us happiness,joy,understanding,feeling of coming together in happiness as well as sorrow.
The times have changed.The close relatives,our kith and kin fail to recognize us.It hurts.It really hurts.The opposite is also true.We meet.We talk.We share We care.We are happy when we meet after long gaps.
We feel more attached to our blood relations.Anuradha is not related through blood.She is my younger brother,Col Jaideep's wife,who sacrificed his life for the country.Anuradha loves and respects me as I am Jaideep's elder sister.Who else I need!

We are born as humans.We are a superior Creation of God.We are rich,beautiful,simple Humans!
We are a part of Nature!We are The Nature!We love beauty,love,kindness,joy,ecstasy,emotions.Are n't we The best Creation of God?
Rejoice,feel,love, share,celebrate Life!
We have to go and on.We The People,must Share and Care!
Life is a Festival.Life is Love.Life is Kindness.Life is Beautiful.

Being an army officers daughter,that too,the youngest one,I have many memories of The Christmas Celebrations.
I very well remember the love and affection,showered upon the small children like me on The X-mas eve.
A big X-Mas tree was decorated with colourful ribbons,lights and toys.
After playing the games and eating goodies,the children would get toys as gifts.
Some children got useful gifts as well,which I think,was a brilliant idea.
It's a great feeling,if you belong to the Armed Forces of your country.Though I was born in a Hindu family our father taught us the values of secularism and I love and respect him for the same.

The Conversion
Poor,helpless people are being converted from one religion to another religion.
Muslims are becoming Hindus,lower caste Hindus are becoming Christians as they are less liked by The Upper Caste Hindus!
The caste system in India is based upon the kind of work a person is involved in for his livelihood.
Our corrupt minds corrupted the whole concept of the,otherwise,a very scientific system of the Hindu society.
Now let us try to examine the recent conversions of poor,helpless,struggling Muslims to Hinduism.
Can anyone make a person a Hindu,a Muslim or a Christian?
The answer is a big No!
We are all born as Hindus!
Castration makes a person Muslim!
Baptism makes a person Christian
We all are Hindus,that's why we call our Nation Hindustan.
We are all Humans.Religion has been made by the Humans.
Be a Human first.Everthing else is a mere Maya,an illusion!

Father,My Father
All have fathers.Mine had been the most affectionate daddy on this earth.
Though he is no more,yet I feel his presence.Being in the Armed forces,he spend his vacations with the family.He served the British army,prior to our Independence.He had fought against the Japanese in the second world war.He,being a Rajput,was a brave person.Though injured, he survived but had to leave the Infantry.He joined AEC(Army Education Core).
He belonged to a poor family,his father had expired.He completed his graduation,joined the army as a Sepoy and retired as a Colonel from the army in 1974!
My parents,myself and me and my hubby!Shanta loves them all!

Happiness Begets Happiness
Do you wish for Happiness?The answer would be yes!Who would prefer others to be unhappy?The sadist,Yes,the sadist drives pleasure,satisfaction by making others sorrowful!If that's some sort of mental disorder,that person needs treatment.
Sadism is not welcome into my life,yet I am sharing my life with sadists.
My philosophy of life is,make others happy if you wish to be happy.Create happiness,love happiness,share happiness!The happiness is not to be shunned,it is to be shared!
There is sadism,ignore it.
Be creative,involve yourself in activities,hobbies,in the sorrows of others,sorrows of the people,animals,nature.
Be a Buddha,relenquish luxuries,go back to Nature,love all,be kind.
Life is a festival of love,joy,gaiety,wonderful feelings.Make others Happy.Be Happy!

Togetherness
So and so live together,they are happily married and share and care.
Marriages are made in Heaven and celebrated on earth!
They are married and blessed,leading a joyous life!
So much has been written about The Couples,The Romance,The Love between the spouses,yet I wonder were all these tales of love and romance true!
We read about Romeo and Juliet,Heer and Ranjha,Soni and Mahiwal,Laila and Majnu.The tales of their romance are universally accepted and cherished!
We may call some poets romantic.They loved nature in any form.They felt The Presence in leaves,in flowers,in dismal dames.Thy wanted to be away from the materialism!
Today the people are captured by materialism.
For them,romance is live in relationship,a big car,a big house,expensive vacations,Thinking of their own comforts,neglecting their parents,their siblings.
They shun away the thoughts of the struggle of their parents had undergone to bring them up,to educate them.
Is this Togetherness?Is this materialistic attitude towards life, leading them to
joy and happiness?
Shanta wonders again!

The Patriarch,The Matriarch
Though they had been our father and our mother,yet we,the seven off-springs of The Family Tree,their descendants,all seven of us(four sisters,three brothers )survived their domineering attitude towards their children as they disciplined us physically as well as teaching us the prevalent customs of our community(Rajput).We loved the village,(Pangoli).Most of the time ,we loafed around,ate wild berries(Garne),mangoes,black berries,mulberries,oranges and many more fruits like melons,water-melons and pomegranate.Astounded?This is The Truth and nothing but The Truth!Those were the days of abundance.Whichever house we visited,the people fed us!We tried to be away from our house as The Parents,our patriarch and our matriarch did frighten us!They have left the world but we still forego our miseries,our sorrows,our dismays,when our thoughts torment us!Had they been lenient we could not have survived!We salute you dearest daddy,affectionate mummy!We'll love you perpetually!
